At Mobile World Congress 2026 in Barcelona, Android announced the launch of Android Network Ready, a new program designed to help mobile network operators and mobile virtual network operators (MVNOs) deliver premium Android services more efficiently and at greater scale.
The program is built on GSMA specified Entitlements, aiming to simplify the deployment of advanced Android capabilities while supporting more consistent and reliable user experiences across global networks.
Android Network Ready provides eligible carriers with a supported onboarding process, including guided integration, testing and validation. This standardised approach is intended to reduce complexity and accelerate access to capabilities such as modern messaging, seamless eSIM management, satellite connectivity and core reliability features like number verification.
Beyond user experience improvements, the program also supports operator efficiency and new revenue opportunities. By enabling more automated, self-service onboarding models and supporting services such as RCS for Business and secure phone number verification, Android Network Ready reflects a broader industry focus on scalability, trust and operational modernisation.
By lowering barriers to adoption, the initiative aims to ensure that a wider range of operators and MVNOs can offer the latest Android services—helping bring convenience, safety and connectivity features to more users worldwide.
