Bob Gessel

Bob Gessel has 35+ years of experience in the Telecom, Communications and Software industries. He has been with Ericsson for 25 years and is currently Head of Technology and Strategy Development for Ericsson North America responsible for driving vision, business and technology innovation, strategic planning and execution. Focus areas include 5G, Private Networks, Industrial and Consumer Internet of Things (IoT), where he drives thought leading transformation across Telecom and Industrial sectors.
Gessel’s previous roles include consultant, entrepreneur, inventor, and founder of two startup companies as well as 16 years in R&D with Ericsson, Siemens and Northern Telecom.
Gessel holds a B.S.E.E from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas.
