What is changing
As part of our ongoing commitment to ensure TAC Allocation supports evolving device technologies and regulatory requirements, several updates have been introduced through TS.06 V27 and TS.30 V25. These enhancements improve the process for declaring supported bands and device types, particularly with the rise of satellite-capable devices.
Key changes effective of – 13th August

2. TAC Application Form Enhancements
Device details section
- Two new Equipment Types have been introduced, including UAV/UAS and Vehicle TCU device classifications.
- Three new fields have been added to capture details on IMS Emergency Call.
Band Profile Section
- A new question, “Does your device support Satellite Bands?”, must now be answered under the Supported Frequency Bands section.
- The system now handles match and mismatch scenarios for Satellite Band declarations, improving the accuracy and compliance of submitted data.
Review Page:

Action Required
From 13th August applicants will be required to:
- Indicate if the device supports Satellite Bands during TAC application submission.
- Use the updated Band Profile template available from the GSMA portal.
- Ensure inclusion of all applicable equipment types and fields to avoid processing delays.
We recommend reviewing your internal processes and systems to align with these changes.
New User Guide Available:
To support these changes, a new user guide is now available for review. We strongly encourage all users to familiarise themselves with the updated guidance to ensure compliance and ease of use.
